Frequently asked questions

Buying and downloading

How do downloads work?
When you've paid, a download button appears on your order confirmation page. We also email you a download link straight away. Click it to save your PDF or ZIP files. Nothing is posted to you.

I can't find my download email.
Check your spam or promotions folder for an email from Helpaboo. If it isn't there, email helpaboocb@gmail.com with your order number and we'll send it again.

Can I download on my phone?
Yes. The links work in any web browser. On iPhone, the file saves to the Files app, and on Android to your Downloads folder. Bundles come as ZIP files, which are easiest to open on a computer, although most phones can unzip them in the Files app.

How many times can I download?
[Match this to the Digital Products app setting. Suggested: "You can download your files up to 5 times from your link. If you run into trouble, just email us."]

Do I need an account?
No. You can check out as a guest. Your download link comes by email.

How can I pay?
By debit or credit card, or with PayPal. [Add Apple Pay and Google Pay here if they show at checkout once Shopify Payments is on.]

Do you sell printed books?
Not at the moment. All Helpaboo books are printable downloads.

Printing

What paper size are the books?
Every book comes in two versions: A4 (UK and Europe) and US Letter (North America). Use the one that matches your paper.

What printer settings should I use?
Print at 100% or "actual size" rather than "fit to page", in black and white. Normal printer paper works fine. Thicker paper (120–160gsm) is lovely if you're using felt tips or paints.

Can I print it more than once?
Yes! For the My Daddy is a... and My Mummy is a... books, print as many copies as your own household and family need. For Helpaboo Together books, see the classroom licence below.

Can I get it printed at a print shop?
Yes, for your own personal use. Just bring the PDF.

Are the pages coloured in?
No. The pages you download are black and white, ready to colour. Some product photos show pages coloured in as an example.

Licence: what you can and can't do

My Daddy is a... and My Mummy is a... books are for home printing, personal and family use only. They aren't licensed for classrooms, nurseries, childminding or other group use.

Helpaboo Together books come with a home and classroom licence. Families can print as many copies as they like for their own household. Teachers, nurseries and childminders can print as many copies as they need for the children in their own class or group, for educational use. Each teacher or setting needs its own purchase.

For every book: please don't resell, share, upload, email or pass on the files or printed copies, and don't use them commercially. Thank you for helping a small business!

Refunds

Can I get a refund?
Because these are digital downloads, you agree at checkout that your files are available straight away and that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download starts. If a file is faulty, won't open or isn't as described, email helpaboocb@gmail.com and we'll fix it, replace it or refund you. This doesn't affect your statutory rights. See our full refund policy.

I bought the wrong book or size.
Both sizes come with every book. If you picked the wrong book, email us and we'll do our best to help.

About the books

What ages are the books for?
Ages 2–8. The outlines are thick and simple for little hands, with plenty of detail for older children.

How many pages are in each book?
My Daddy is a... and My Mummy is a... books have 13 pages. Helpaboo Together books have 13 pages, and the original Helpaboo Together book has 24.

How were the pictures made?
The pictures were created with AI image tools from our own ideas and prompts. We then choose them, clean them up, letter them and lay them out by hand.

Do you make other jobs?
We're always adding more. Email us or message @helpaboo with the job you'd love to see.

Are you also on Etsy?
Yes, you'll find us at etsy.com/shop/Helpaboo.

Still stuck?

Email helpaboocb@gmail.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
