Our mission: every child belongs on the page
At Helpaboo, we believe every child should be able to open a book and find someone just like them.
For too long, children with disabilities and differences have been missing from the pages they colour, read and play with. A wheelchair, a walker, hearing implants, glasses, a white cane, ear defenders, an insulin pump, a prosthetic leg, a talking device or Down syndrome are part of everyday life for thousands of children. So they belong in everyday stories too.
That's why we made Helpaboo Together: colouring books where every kind of child is right in the middle of the fun, building sandcastles, baking cupcakes, scoring goals, splashing in puddles and blasting off to space. They aren't books about disability. They're books about childhood, and every child is part of it.
There are no names in our books. Every child writes their own name and super power on the first page, so the hero is always the one holding the crayons.
When a child sees themselves on the page, they learn that they belong. When their friends colour alongside them, they learn that different is normal, and different is wonderful. That's how inclusion starts: at the kitchen table, at nursery and in the classroom, one page at a time.
Our promise is simple. We'll keep drawing children of every ability, background and family, drawn with care and shown consistently and respectfully on every page, so that no child is left out of the picture.
Helpaboo represents all children. Every child belongs on the page.

– Helpaboo
Hello from Helpaboo
I'm a dad who makes colouring books.
Helpaboo started at the kitchen table. Little ones love the grown-ups in their lives: the dad who fixes things, the mum who looks after people, the friends who make every day an adventure. So I started making colouring books where children could colour them in.
What we make
My Daddy is a... is 20 books, one for every trade from joiner and plumber to digger driver and welder.
My Mummy is a... is 20 books, one for every job from nurse and teacher to vet and paramedic.
Each book has 13 pages: a cover to colour, a "This book belongs to" page, nine scenes of Mummy or Daddy at work with their little helpers, a "Draw your mummy/daddy at work" page and a checklist of the whole series.
Helpaboo Together is our inclusive series. In 11 books, children with disabilities and differences are the heroes of everyday fun. Read about our mission →
How we make them
Every book starts with an idea and a list of scenes. The pictures are created with AI image tools from our own ideas and prompts. We then choose them, clean them up, letter them and lay them out by hand, and check every page for thick, simple outlines that little hands can colour. The pages you download are black and white, ready to colour.
Why printable?
- You get it straight away, with no waiting for the post.
- Print a page again when it's been coloured, scribbled on or loved to bits.
- Every book comes in A4 (UK and Europe) and US Letter (North America).
